There are many reasons to choose a keto lifestyle. Some of the benefits are having more mental clarity, improved energy, lower blood pressure and triglycerides, decreased joint aches and pains. Some experience clearer skin when they cut out dairy. Definitely a big benefit is weight loss. This single benefit seems to greatly improve other medical issues.
Imagine for one moment if you could reap all of these benefits, would you feel better, would your quality of life be improved? I can tell you from my first hand experience that I have had a life-changing experience! I am feeling much better with more energy and mental clarity. My blood pressure is reduced and I have lost weight. My aching joints are no longer aching. How my body is feeling is a powerful statement. There is truth in “You are what you eat”. I believe that with a genuine commitment, anyone can live the keto lifestyle and once you give it an honest trial you will be happy to feel better!
I was faced with this same decision on June 26, 2017 and I agreed to give it a 2 week trial period. Now I was thinking to myself how difficult it would be without the carbs. However, I did not know that I was going to lose weight right away and I was not going to feel hungry, so it was not the same as my previous experiences to lose weight. In fact, it was very motivating to get up, weigh in and see the numbers get smaller, and not to be feeling hungry! This was motivation to keep going, I thought. Then about 2 weeks later, to wake up and feel invigorated and amazing was an incredible experience. I have not once regretted this decision. These benefits are fantastic!
I realized in that moment; I had made the decision, I had to stick to my commitment and be consistent and I would continue to reap these wonderful benefits!
