Simplify Keto meals in your kitchen

#1 My go to Cast Iron Skillet

I use my skillet daily, for cooking eggs, sauteing vegetables and making one pan meals.

#2 A Baking Sheet with Lip

A baking sheet can be used for one pan roasted meals that include vegetables and meat. I mostly roast cauliflower before mashing it.  This allows for less moisture so it blends nicely.

#3 High Speed Blender like Blendtec or Vita Mix

You can make everything from smoothies to mashed cauliflower to pureed soups and salad dressings.  The high speed blender has the ability to make foods smooth with very little effort.

#4 Instant Pot / Electric Pressure CookerI recently received one as a gift and it can simplify the prep for some amazing things! Probably my top favourite use is to hard cook eggs.  I can make one dozen eggs at a time, it only takes 30 minutes from start to finish and they are extremely easy to peel! Another fave is making yogurt. It does a fantastic and hassle free job! I also like it for soups and butter chicken.

You can see how just having these 4 tools can simplify keto meal prep immensely! We all want to have simple meal prep.

#5 Immersion or Hand Held Blender

Every day I blend bulletproof coffee, eggs and any other liquids I want smooth.

#6 Mini Muffin Moulds & Papers

I would be lost without these two simple tools.  They are the perfect size for fat bombs that I make all the time!

#7 Spiralizer

This tool can save you lots of money! Vegetable noodles or zoodles where I live, cost anywhere from $3.98 to $5.98 depending on the size of the package and where you are purchasing them. And for this amount of money, the amount you get serves only 2-3 people! I decided it was a cheaper option to make my own vegetable noodles.

These are the tools in my kitchen that help me simplify my meal prep in the keto lifestyle.  I find meal planning is key if you want to stay on track. It also helps you to save money on meals. All my meals are budget and family friendly.

  1. Lois,
I love your blog. I have been changing my diet as new light becomes popular. I bought the Glow 15 book but I find her very wordy – perhaps because I have listened to most of the Fat’n Fit lectures.

Have you researched the benefits of water fasting? My lifestyle and prescription meds make it impossible but I could probably still do the PROLON mimicking fast. I hope you will be coming this summer for a visit.

    Much love, Aunt Lisette

    • I have done some research on water fasting. However I am doing more research on intermittent fasting and the benefits for health and weight loss.
