Fabric choices for this quilt along will be our action step for this week! I am super excited to introduce to you The Focus 2020 Quilt Along!
Just a bit about it . . .
Each Wednesday you will get an email with information for the week. This will include links to the blog post and video tutorials to complete the step that week. In order to receive all of the information, you need to RSVP to the Focus 2020 Quilt Along! This is the only way you will receive the information!

Who is this Quilt Along for?
Have you ever wanted to piece a quilt, but just were unsure or wished you had a detailed tutorial or someone to ask a question? Then this quilt along is for you! It includes video tutorials with step by step instructions. It is for new quilters or beginner quilters or experienced quilters who are looking to polish their skills and have a relaxed quilting experience! Practising your skills can make a world of difference when it comes to boosting your confidence! It also will take your skills from just learning the technique to feeling like “I’ve got this!”. This is an awesome feeling!
The Quilt Along Schedule
I have a schedule that I will be following to send out the emails and publish the blog posts. However, please feel free to work at your own pace! This is perfectly fine. You will have access to all of the tutorials and instructions long after the group quilt along is finished.
Schedule as follows:
July 8th – Introduction to Focus 2020 and Fabric Choices
July 15th – Cut your fabrics, Mix fabrics
July 22nd – Make snowball corners and HST blocks
July 29th – Flying Geese Blocks
Aug 5th – Assemble 6 blocks
Aug 12th – Assemble 6 blocks
Aug 19th – Assemble 6 blocks
Aug 26th – Assemble 2 blocks and sew top together
Sept 2 – Baste, Quilt and Bind your quilt
For this quilt along we are making the “Throw” size and that means 20 blocks. But you are welcome to adjust the size of your quilt to your liking by switching the number of blocks you make. This is totally fine! I want you to make a quilt that you will find useful.
Sharing Our Quilts
Sharing our progress as we work through the quilt along is one of the most inspiring and fun parts of a quilt along! I love connecting with other quilters and seeing the different quilts!
We will be sharing our progress photos on Instagram using the hashtag
If you follow the hashtag you will be able to see what everyone is creating in this quilt along. And if you follow me on Instagram you will see everything that I will post about it. I suggest switching your account to public for the duration of the quilt along.
We will also be sharing our progress in our facebook group. The facebook group is also a place to connect with others in the Quilt Along and also a place to ask questions. You will receive an invite to the facebook group once you have signed up via RSVP to the Quilt Along.
You may be asking what will I need for this quilt along? My blog post titled Quilt Piecing Tools and Tips to Use talks about the basics and some easy tips. Obviously, you will need fabric and when you RSVP the yardage is given for the different sizes.
